The continuation of my prior article. Here’s some more tips on taking good concert photos!Scream Out

Capture emotion. Take the shot at a high point in the song, when the musician is totally “into it”.

Show the fans in some of your photos. A band is almost nothing without its fans!

And be nice to the fans, the ones who are their for the music. Don’t get in their way, and if you want to step in front of them quick for a shot, be quick. Get the photo and move right back, so they can enjoy the music.

Beginning of Mary EllenGet as close as possible, right in the action if you can. I was allowed onstage at this concert, so that was great.

Overall, try to capture the band as the people they are. Each band has a unique personality, and that can show through in your photographs.

Check out more of my photos from this show, the band’s site – Elyon’s Fire, or listen to some of their awesome music!
